Diane has had the privilege of studying with such notable teachers as Ruth Golden, formerly with the New York City Opera, and Kathleen Darragh, a highly respected teacher in the Southern California area.  She has coached with some of the finest coaches in the country including Gregory Buchalter and Ann Baltz.  Diane has completed the Wesley Balk Opera/Music Theater Institute (summer program), and the Opera Works Summer Intensive with Ann Baltz.  This comprehensive training in singing, acting and presentation has given her a wealth of knowledge to pass on to her students.

     Diane has been singing professionally since 1986.  She has performed with the Southwest Arts CoOperative (formerly the Intimate Opera Company), Southland Opera, Two Penny Opera, and U.C.I. Opera Theatre.  Her opera roles include Despina in Cosi fan tutti, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Musetta in La Boheme, the Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel, and Ida in Die Fledermaus.  Diane is a member of the touring Gilbert and Sullivan company Opera a la Carte, and has appeared in their productions of The Gondoliers, H.M.S. Pinafore, The Mikado, Pirates of Penzance and Trial By Jury.   Her concert and oratorio repertoire includes Boccherini's Gloria, Dubois' The Seven Last Words of Christ, Faure's Requiem, Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate,  Mozart's Vespers, and The Messiah.  She has performed in master classes with Martin Katz, John Hall and Dr. Alan Smith.
